Bill Mahanna, Ph.D., Dipl. ACAN

Bill Mahanna - Feed for Thought

Bill is the Pioneer Global Nutritional Sciences Manager for Corteva Agriscience. He has been with Pioneer for 32 years and serves as a collaborative, associate professor in the animal science department at Iowa State University and a visiting professor at Bila Tserkva State Agrarian University in the Ukraine. Bill was raised on a Holstein dairy in upstate New York and has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Cornell University with a master’s degree and doctorate in dairy science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dan Wiersma, M.S.

Dan Wiersma - Feed for Thought

Daniel is the Alfalfa Business Manager, Global for Corteva Agriscience. Dan serves on Pioneer’s Forage Leadership Team and is the lead for Pioneer’s corn silage working group. His passion is to help farmers and dairymen succeed in their operations by better understanding and using forage products and technology. Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master’s degree in agronomy.

Scott Dennis, Ph.D.

Scott Dennis - Feed for Thought

Scott leads the Technical Services, Global Forages team for Corteva Agriscience. He provides technical support and training for the Pioneer worldwide Forage efforts, assisting livestock producers and coordinating research efforts with universities. Scott received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Kansas State University and then studied rumen microbiology and nutrition under Dr. Earl Bartley in the dairy science department, where he focused on how the ionophores modified the rumen bacteria and protozoa populations while earning his doctorate.

Adam Krull, DVM, Ph.D.

Adam Krull - Feed for Thought

Adam is the Senior Dairy Veterinarian/Nutritionist for Corteva Agriscience. He provides technical support to dairy producers regarding forage production, harvest, storage and preservation in a manner that improves animal productivity and health. Adam received his training from Iowa State University, which encompasses many important aspects of the dairy industry. This training includes a bachelor’s degree in dairy science, a doctorate in veterinary medicine and a doctorate in veterinary microbiology.
